Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at jct. of Bungy Rd and Champion Rd. Room for 1 vehicle. Today, Bungy Rd. had been recently plowed(1 car wide) beyond the town plow turnaround spot. So we were able to park 0.6 mi beyond the turnaround spot. This 0.6 mi was not sanded and has a steep hill. OK for an AWD or 4WD vehicle, not sure about a FWD.

Comments
Comments: Snowshoed Champion Rd. that was snomoed but not groomed for 0.6 mi. Then took wide, groomed snomo trail for approx 3 miles to bw point. Started bw NW of summit at approx 2100'at a marsh ringed by a narrow band of thick, scratchy spruce. Avoided the spruce by staying in the hardwoods and skirting the spruce. Easy bw to summit in wide open young hardwoods. Obvious, pronounced summit bump. No register, only a piece of twine remains on a young spruce tree.
bw conditions - 4-6" on a supportive base. Infinitely easier than Wednesday's bw to nearby Moran Notch Peak.
grades - super easy
vegetation density - wide open young hardwoods. Summit wide open.
