Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The first 2 crossings, Crawford brook were just manageable on the way in but a lot higher on the way out. We decided to bushwhack down the river right side of the brook to avoid both of those crossings on the way out. It was an easy bushwhack with snowshoes. Other crossings had snowbridges that were breaking under our weight.

Comments
Comments: A beautiful day. Spring hiking shorts, tank top and snowshoes. We wore snowshoes all day. I did get caught in a couple of spruce traps by stepping too close to the edge of the trail. The snow is waist high. There is NO ice on any of thses trails, just lots of snow. It was a warm, sunny day. The trail over to Willey was a little difficult to find and follow in spots. We used the rule of following the dirtiest snow and that worked well for us. The water is really high with a lot of current and we were glad we opted for the bushwhack on the way out.
