Comments
Comments: There was about 4” of new snow at lower elevations increasing to 6” to 8” higher up and in spots it seemed even deeper. The many drifts along the ridge ranges from 12” to 18”. I did not see anyone else so there is only my snow shoe track. The steep sections were very difficult with very soft snow on top of a crust layer. I frequently slid backwards or had to clear the snow to get to the crust for better purchase. The trip down from Osceola was fast. I didn’t butt slide bit did slide a lot in my snow shoes.
