Comments
Comments: I thought we’d arrive to find only Rich’s sole tracks from Saturday, but we were thrilled to find a packed out trail instead. We used microspikes all the way to the summit.

Once past the water crossings, the snow was softer. Still felt microspikes were fine maybe up until a few tenths of a mile from the ridge, where we started to leave deeper footprints than I personally feel appropriate for me. Switched to snowshoes at the summit and wore them on the way down to smooth out our tracks. Others were barebooting the whole way though and they did not leave postholes, just footprints, so HYOH but bring the snowshoes in case you feel that’s the more appropriate choice...and of course wear them if you find you are leaving postholes instead of shallow footprints.

This morning (day after hike) the trails now have two or three inches or so of new snow over a packed base.

It was nice running into Danielle and her two friends again. Congrats on being 89% finished the Grid, Danielle!
