Comments
Comments: Bare-booted the first 5 or 6 miles, then wore snowshoes. Very surprised how well packed the Bondcliff Trail is given the recent snow and cold. That being said, everyone must have been out on Saturday, as I only saw 2 other hikers the whole day Sunday. Bondcliff Trail is in really good shape all the way to the ledge before tree line. The ledge is tricky and a bit of rope would definitely be of assistance on the descent. Above tree line conditions are much different and varied; breakable crust, ice, drifts, exposed rock.

From just before the summit of Bond to West Bond there was significant snow which had drifted in places, but a decent track is started. Trail finding on the West Bond Spur was a little challenging toward the middle, and I'm pretty sure my track strayed off the true path in a couple of places. Nice meeting Joanna and zporterColdRiverCampCook.
