Comments
Comments: Hancock Notch Trail and Cedar Brook Trail were well-packed, we used spikes there. Water crossings were mostly bridged, with not much water flowing; all were easy.

Hancock Loop Trail up to the fork was also in great shape. At the fork (where you can go to either North or South Hancock; we did the loop clockwise), we switched to snowshoes because we were breaking trail; it looked like there had been only one hiker (postholer) there since the last snowfall. There were 6" deep postholes on the way up to Mount Hancock and 6-18" deep postholes on the trail between North and South Hancock :'(

We packed it down a bit as we traveled over it with snowshoes, and there were a couple other hikers on the trail behind us, but snowshoes might still be the best bet for the loop portion of the hike. Spikes were fine elsewhere.
