Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: we parked on gale chandler road in landaff at the start of the road that runs between moody ledge and cobble hill (northern extension of the cobble hill trail from rt. 112 to the south). the town appears to maintain a plowed in area at this junction which makes good room to park. will note that trying to park at the start of ore hill road would have required a lot of shoveling or a truck to biff in a ways.

Comments
Comments: most of the route had plus or minus 6" inches of powder over crusty base. good snowshoeing overall. we walked the road south from where we parked eventually turning east on an older road briefly before bushwhacking up onto the north ridge of cobble hill. good grades and open woods all the way and some sort of old snomo trail or road up high that took us up to the summit area. a couple possible summit bumps. we backtracked a bit then took a line to the saddle with continued good woods. a direct ascent of moody ledge worked well. more evergreens up high, often snow covered, but a straight forward ascent to the summit. following the ridge from moody ledge to ore hill road the woods were more mixed and messy, but still good going for the most part. heavily logged woods for the last stretch. once on ore hill road we walked briefly south before a quick up and down of green via an atv trail. ore hill road down to gale chandler was track out by a large atv and snowshoes and was quick going. we then walked gale chandler road back to the car.
