Started up Avalon trail, ended up passing the pair breaking trail around the col and took over the duties from there. Ended up breaking to Field and then Willey. Was happy to see others coming across the ridge for a better snowshoe track. Went over to Tom, passed several bare booters, and then up to Tom. The track stops in the clearing and did not continue to the actual summit, so if you did Tom today before two, you didn't get the real summit. Broke that out and had some lovely views of the twins. Ended the day with burgers. Glad to see real winter back in the Whites! |
