Headed up to Mack and back on the red trail using snowshoes. Not much new snow depth so bareboating or micro spikes would have worked as well. Saw a group of 4 who were bare booting and using light traction. Most of new snow was powder but there were some areas where a thin breakable ice crust formed on top of the snow. Ran into some scouts who were trying to sled but alas, the plastic sleds were cracking in the cold. Very windy.....put on hard shell and a balaclava and never took them off. |
