 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Park at winter lot just off Rt 302 since Sawyer River Rd is closed in winter. The roadwalk up/down Sawyer River Rd to the actual trailhead took me approx 35 mins each way. |

 | Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular |

 | Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Three water crossings along the flats of Signal Ridge Tr were open, but low water flow. Pretty easy to cross by rock hopping, managed fine doing it in snowshoes. |

Beautiful weather on Wednesday for Carrigain summit out/back. Barebooted up the road, which is relatively hardpack/stable due to snowmobile traffic. From Signal Ridge Trailhead proper, I wore snowshoes out/back to the summit. Track is in excellent conditions, mostly hardpack but softening in the day, but no postholes ... hope it stays that way! (Hint: wear snowshoes!) Only saw two other people the whole day, super day in the White. |
