Comments
Comments: Trail conditions were excellent! I wore spikes-Trail was so nicely packed, I switched to snowshoes before heading up north (that is just my own personal preference-I like the traction and the nice bite they give me on the steeps as well as the heel lift;). There was a little drifting between summits-nothing too bad. I switched back to spikes to head down south -it was probably the best butt-slide I have had in years-not icy-I felt like I had just finished an Olympic run by the end. Saw some peeps heading in on my way out. This was 12/12 for my grid for both summits! (I think I dropped my purple towel-oops-I thought I would see it on my exit but it must be on the trail heading up north-it can be trashed-I’m sorry)
