Comments
Comments: Avalon trail was a stable monorail. A-Z trail hadn't been touched since the last storm; I made do with my spikes but should have changed to snowshoes. Zealand trail is a stable monorail, as is the Twinway up to Zealand. After Zealand, I threw on my snowshoes all the way to Bondcliff. Between West Bond and Bondcliff, they weren't necessary, but I didn't want to go to the trouble of taking them off to put them back on again. As I was heading up Bond, a group of 6-8 people headed down towards Zealand for a traverse, so they helped pack the Twinway down quite a bit. By end of the day on Saturday, I'd say the traverse is well-packed down, and might be manageable with just spikes.
