Comments
Comments: Lincoln Brook Trail had mud and frozen slush areas. Osseo Trail was bare ground much of which was dry up to about 2000 feet. Thereafter was a transition zone with a mix of bare ground, frozen slush, and snow. Monorail was solid enough to support bare boot walking. Switched to snowshoes near head of valley where the trail has switchbacks. The wooden staircases were buried under the snow. The path was steep in this section just below and above the downlook. Traction is recommended in this section. There were bare rock surfaces leading up to Mt Flume and at the summit of Mt Liberty.
