Comments
Comments: Ended up here after seeing some views of mountains on my trip over. Glad I did. 16 degrees with 26 mph wind at 2:30ish on Washington made for enjoyable day. Views off and on throughout day. Used spikes until heading down Cog; then snowshoes. Glad I had them for this stretch. Ammo was fine going up; fairly smooth with no ice; but I can imagine it being beat up later with all the traffic going down. Saw all the recommended equipment choices above today including many ice axes and crampons.
