| Comments: |
Ski Trail from Beaver Brook bare-bootable, some rocks and open water (not good skiing yet). Gale River Road snowmobiled (it is a designated route). Gale River Trail bare- bootable for some distance up; snowshoes were handy on the steep section after the viewpoint. Good snowshoe track on Garfield Ridge Trail, Frost Trail, and Twinway. Deeper and softer snow at higher elevations, which was more prone to divoting by those without snowshoes. Frost Trail had a couple of choppy sections and one minor icy section; Twinway had one minor icy section. (Reports from other hikers indicated that the North Twin Trail and North Twin Spur were also traveled today.) |
