| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few big blowdowns up on the ridge, an axe or chainsaw would be useful for one, all passable with a little work. Livermore was a beautiful groomed Nordic ski trail. I was surprised by the amount of people not using snowshoes on thé groomed section of Livermore Road. There are signs asking people to use them. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
I saw a few trotting along the ridge. Looked happy. |
| Bugs: |
None :) |
| Lost and Found: |
Another hiker picked up somebody’s ice axe and was asking if it belonged to me( it was way too long ). It was a green black diamond I think. She carried it out. Hoping she posts something on social media for the owner to see . Those things aren’t cheap. |

Fantastic conditions weather wise, decent temps and no wind. Snow was nice and dry, not sticking to traction at all. We snowshoed in and up Scaur trail( only one set of boot prints in front of us). We hope the trail looks decent now after our snowshoe use. It’s broken out nicely . I skied down Scaur in my snowshoes. The ridge trail (pine bend) was firm at the junction with Scaur. I opted for my Hillsounds knowing that there might be icy spots heading up North Tri, and there were. Snowshoes would’ve been better between the peaks as it was more powdery snow but I left mine at the Scaur junction :(. I got fooled by the harder packed section and wanted to lessen my load. All and all decent conditions await anyone who wants these for winter. Several obvious butt sliding runs on the ridge too. |
