Lincoln Woods and Wilderness Trails are as hard packed as you can imagine with the traffic. Wore spikes before sun-up but probably weren't needed.
Bondcliff Trail is a beautiful packed out snowshoe sidewalk right now. Quick and easy going despite the length. Threw them on about a mile up Bondcliff Trail--probably could have gotten away with spikes till closer to the top but always will take televator support even if the climb isn't too hard. Dealt with rocks on Bondcliff with snowshoes on...not an issue and they were needed as the day wore on. Was getting soft.
Beautiful day on the peaks. After sun came up only needed long sleeve shirt. Can't find many better January hiking days or conditions....good weekend to get up to these guys if you have the time to walk! |
