The track avoids the first two crossings with the bushwhack. Third crossing is solidly bridged. |

Two thigh-high blowdowns on North Twin Trail, otherwise in good shape. |

7 Dwarfs approach, North Twin Trail
Trails had a consolidated base from before the recent snow with a few inches of new loose snow on top. Snowshoes were optimal. Entire route could (and probably will) be done less efficiently in spikes but there is a nice snowshoe track for now. Other hikers reported that the approach via Beaver Brook/Gale River/Twinway/North Twin Spur is well-packed throughout and several people had done it in spikes.
Another gorgeous day with many VT and Maine 4K peaks in clear view. Nice hike with Chris who is closing in on her NH winter 4K'ers. |
