Beautiful -- if a tad windy -- day out. Headed up with the idea of doing Pierce and Eisenhower, the latter only if the wind up top wasn't too annoying. It was. Plan B was to head over to Jackson, and we're glad we did. With the wind at our back, we enjoyed 6-12 inches of unbroken, dry powder atop a barely discernible but stable track.
From Pierce to Jackson was snowshoe heaven. (Light traction up to Pierce and down from Jackson.)
Once on Jackson, the winds were a factor, and we quickly headed down below treeline.
Saw but 4-5 people all day, and no one on summits or the ridge.
Lovely bluebird day, with fresh coating of white on the entire Presidential Range.
