 | Comments: |
Started on Pine Flats, left trail where it leaves Smart's Brook, bushwacked east more or less following the brook until it turned south, continued east until even with Bald Knob, then north. Made a winding path to a wide ledge with nice views. On return followed bushwack to Yellow Jacket and followed it to lot (we were tired). One person used spikes the whole hike, the other used snowshoes for the latter part of the ascent bushwack and on return reverted to spikes. Amazing ice formations in Smarts Brook Gorge. |
