 | Comments: |
Cold Spring Rd is bare. After that, the trails are a chewed up mess with snowshoe tracks, ski tracks and postholes. All, thankfully frozen over on the ascent. Once on the High Ridge Cutoff, there is something of a shallow snowshoe track which was frozen, but had some shallow postholes. Once on the High Ridge, the snowshoe track was in a little better shape. Past the junction where the High Ridge becomes usable for snowmobiles, it is a nicely groomed highway. I used microspikes for the entire ascent, then on the descent, once off the snowmobile track, used snowshoes. |
