Comments
Comments: Still full snowpack, top to bottom. About half a foot or so remains down low, while it's still over a foot deep in places on the ridge.

Unfortunately, despite our work to set a nice, smooth track after the snowstorm, a Microspiker masquerading as a winter hiker came up in the warmer weather and left postholes that have now frozen in place. On Old Mountain Road, they postholed through the base into the running water a few times.

At this point, if it's below freezing, one can Microspike this route without adding more postholes. Snowshoes are the best option though unless one is lazy (if so, why are they hiking a mountain?)
