Snowshoes and crampons got a free ride today. Although they were a few spots where trail crampons would’ve performed better that the spikes but they were so short I didn’t bother. Well packed trail from start to finish. There’s that one sketchy spot with boulders on the right and steep drop on left, navigating a narrow icy trail with not many handhold options. Say a prayer and leap forward. Other than that just normal hiking. Was mild temps but very windy today at summit. |
