Beautiful bluebird day on Lafayette. Trail is well-packed up to Greenleaf Hut, and Microspikes were more than sufficient. Past the hut, the route was less trafficked. Didn't put snowshoes on for that section, but glad I carried them; especially with the drifting snow snowshoes are probably your best option above the hut. Decided not to do the full ridge because of time, but saw that Falling Waters was also well-packed out. Drifting snow on the ridge. |
