Just an update for xc/backcountry ski conditions - trail is a perfect monorail for the uphill after the busy holiday weekend. I carried and used snowshoes for the last hour or so, a better skier could probably get by with skinning up or just barebooting steeps. Coverage up high is fantastic, but it's a little scratchy down low - glad I took the rock skis. Plenty of soft powder off to the sides for speed control. |
