Comments
Comments: Trail is in nice shape with some unconsolidated powder and heavy drifts at upper levels. I wore snowshoes entire hike but crampons might be a better option on the steeps above the hut both below and above viewpoint. There were deep drifts with ice under. I broke trail ascending and descending mt Hight. Carter Moriah to south and middle was broken out and in good shape with minor drifting. Carter dome trail back to 19mbt was really in the best shape.Super day in the Whites!
