Comments
Comments: We jumped into the window before the storm. Was loose powder up to the gem pool. Then snow over hard ice, drifts, ice and rock. We wore snowshoes up to Lakes, then switched to crampons. Crampons for the rest of the day.

I would suggest skipping the microspikes. All along the ridge and up the summit cone is snow on very hard ice with sometimes unavoidable rocks sticking out. I expect that spikes would get broken on the rocks and they would definitely have a hard time gripping the hard ice beneath snow.

Maybe different after Saturday Night's snowfall.
