Never hiked this so was excited for the fire tower views. Snowshoed up & down. Views great from tower. Sun & clouds south but dark & snowing North. The whole sandwich range was clouded over but Mt. Chocorua. Saw 4 people at the summit. All had snowshoes and had come up behind me so there was a good track being formed so I thought I’d take the red trail back down... about half way down i ran into 2 people with micro spikes on rototilling the trail up.... unfortunately they have to come back the way they came but the majority had snowshoes so trail won’t be that bad. Great hike. |
