Comments
Comments: Started @ 10am from the Lower Falls parking lot with the intention of going to Hale and then Zealand. First time to these 2 peaks so wasn't sure what to expect regarding trail breaking. Later I found out that the Zealand hut is quite popular in the winter, so there were a few parties on the trail including two groups who were snowshoeing all the way to Zealand. With a snow storm in the afternoon forecast I increased the pace to make the loop in 8 hrs. Views from Zeacliff were spectacular and ominous. Clear views of Hancock & Carrigain to the South, and even Mt. Washington to the East. Great day for hiking!
