Comments
Comments: Several inches of new snow low and more further up especially on Engine Hill. We broke the bush whack and dropped back to the Isolation trail a bit too soon and had to cross two gullies that were wet. On the way back we set another trail that avoided those gullies. If our track is still visible after the snow tonight go right on the way toward the summit and stay a little higher to avoid the gullies. 11 people took turns breaking so there is a great track for snow shoes start to finish. There is some open water and slush in the usual places. But often there are walk arounds this open water. We got to the summit to see nice views. Decent temps and no wind. Early on there was was a group of 6 people trying to climb in spikes. We passed them before the height of land on Rocky Branch and never saw them again. Moral of the story: snow shoes!!!
