Comments
Comments: Parked at the Basin. Took bushwhack, old log road up to white house trail. Snowshoes beginning to end. Broke trail all the way to Franc ridge. Tough conditions 4-8 inches of snow on ice and breakable crust. Got creative on the slide to make sure we did not go sliding. You could have worn crampons but with that much snow it makes things difficult as well. Pity the fools that followed us up. Met one fellow on top that broke out from Osseo and then the Cone Demons that came over from Lafayette also saw young friend Georg heading over to Flume. Coming down I met 30-40 new friends most in bare boots. Turned the trail to crap. Not a snowshoe Nazi but I am pragmatic what a mess. Thanks to Denise for a good day out
