Comments
Comments: Trails are still in really good shape. There was a solid monorail underneath about 6-8 inches of fresh powder the entire way. The Mt Tripyramid trail between North and Middle peaks had some drifting as well, but not too deep. Some members of our group went with snowshoes, but I did the whole things in k10 crampons. The underlying trail is as hard as cement so even with the new snow there was zero postholing or sinking without snowshoes. I found the crampons gave me more stability given the base trail is stable, while the snowshoers sometimes slid on the steeper sections. I chose to go with the extra traction and walk through the powder instead. Either way would be ok depending on what your preference is.
