| Comments: |
Snow/ice cover was very thin at trailhead with a few small patches of dirt showing through. This changed to a solid cover of ice and frozen granular about 1/4 mile in. The cold overnight temperatures had nicely set up the wet snow and there was never a need for snowshoes. Some of the ice flows are very hard - be sure your microspikes are sharp.
We started out in sun and blue sky, but this quickly changed to solid overcast. Views from the summit were non-existent. |
