Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All water crossings are easily negotiated. One crossing is completely bridged; the other crossings are easy to rock hop. Water levels appear low.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in good shape. I really appreciated the tiny reflectors on the trees this morning as I was hiking early with a headlamp, and these reflectors, although small, really reflect well.

Comments
Comments: As of early this morning the trail is in pretty decent shape. Well packed base, although very little (if any) sign of people using snowshoes, which were not necessary at all today. My assessment at the trailhead lead me leave my snowshoes in the car, which was perfectly fine, but honestly, had I brought them, I would likely have used them on the steeper section because of the heel risers and added traction. Regardless, trail is well packed and conditions are really fast. Although windy today, the trail is well sheltered almost all the way until you begin to approach the summit in the vicinity of the junction with the Sosman Trail. Saw two (2) other hikers headed up early this morning before sunrise using headlamps. I imagine trail conditions will change significantly in the near future with the forecasted warmer temperatures and rain.
