Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Drifts, Snow - Wet/Sticky, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Unstable)
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All lower crossings are flowing pretty well but rock-hoppable. Upper crossings are still snowbridged. High temps for a week could easily change this.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Tracks that were obvious on 4.17 were gone 4.18 after some overnight snow and heavy winds. Major drifting caused all tracks from the cabin north to disappear. Snow is becoming unstable, the trek in I postholed a couple times in snowshoes. They way out was colder and a little more solid. These trails are all going to be a muddy mess in a couple of weeks.

Comments
Comments: We cleaned up and packed out all the trash from Cabot Cabin. Nice and tidy for the next group! Rocky packed out a lot of trash (including a ziploc full of mouse turds and insulation... sorry bud). Lets try and keep it clean meow ok? No more used sterno containers and high definition piss jugs (ok, the last one is a TPB joke). Happy Trails!
