Followed signs for "Hiking Trail" which brought us along the east side of the US border / customs building. Turned right onto border swath. Followed border swath to summit (canister on US side). SNow was deep, and for half of the swath, we were fortunate have a slight snomo base from the Canadian side.
On the way out, a Customs/Border agent came out to ask us what we were up to. (Most hikers go left / west, towards the 4th CT. Lake Bog Trail, whereas we had gone east towards the Peak.) We explained what we were up to... and he seemed fine with our explanation.
Short and sweet. Just over 1 mile RT.
Nice hike with: JEM3, Bill C., Schorman, Fran M., Campsite (P&F) |
