Comments
Comments: Had the Pemi and Owls Head to ourselves today. Barebooted Lincoln Woods Trail to Black Pond Trail. From that point on it was snowshoes the rest of the day. 2-4” fresh snow atop a nicely packed base. Black Pond BW was a little lower than the best route but is still a good route (and beats breaking out a new one).

Gusty winds and snow on and off (more on) basically all day. Significant drifting on the ridge with a couple of whiteouts - never experienced that on Owls Head before. Haha. Spent a lot of time whacking snow off branches.

Enough snowing and blowing today that we had to break through 4-5” of fluff on the way out, too. Many of our tracks were completely covered, and it was still snowing when we finished.

Congrats to FP for gridding out Owlie today.
