The Appalachia lot wasn’t plowed when I got there, but a DOT truck quickly solved that problem. Unsurprisingly, not many cars in the lot- two when I started, and two different ones when I returned. |

| Comments: |
Frigid and windy on the Northern Presidentials today, complete with a layer of fresh snow from last night’s storm. Wore snowshoes round trip, although light traction might suffice on the lower elevations. Some serious drifting near and above tree line- some drifts were two to three feet deep. I turned back about 1/4 mile from the summit of Mt. Adams due to worsening visibility and wind. Best to be on the safe side. |
