| Comments: |
Three of us went up and back on Gorge Brook Trail. There was about 1" of new overnight snow on top of a well packed trail from hikers the previous day. We used snowshoes the whole day but when coming down we met someone using light traction who wasn't having trouble and left prints that were mostly less than an inch deep. Once you get up near the tree line the trail was softer and less packed until you break out of the trees. There were no exposed rocks on the trail. There was a light snow all afternoon so it could add an inch or two of new powder. |
