Trail is well packed. Used spikes car to car based on recommendation of a FB post that morning and they were all that was needed.
Morning commitments in Boston meant a 2 pm start but so glad we did this, even though I had wanted to traverse to Rowe via the Ridge Trail. Loved the views of the Whites from the Panorama Pub, which closed its food/drink sales by the time we arrived but was a rare time you can enjoy a water break in a warm spot. Also loved the view of the lakes from the picnic area on GMT near the winter cutoff/Gunstock Mtn/Ridge Tr junction.
Looking forward to coming back for more here. |
