| Comments: |
we hiked up noyes road to where a snowmobile trail joins it in a large cleared area. from here we launched our bushwhack to east springfield mountain. some conifer woods to start then wide open hardwoods most of the way to the recognized summit. once back at the snowmobile trail we followed it west to a point north of morgan pond peak and bushwhacked up in mostly open woods to its recognized summit. from there we returned to the highway the same way we walked in. good continuous wet and sticky snow coverage the whole route. not a lot of depth, but plenty to make for good snowshoeing. |
