Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Didn't attempt to pull into lot at trailhead (I've been stuck there twice before in the winter). I went past it and parked closer to hairpin turn at pullover area that was plowed-there at 6am. Others that came after me parked before trailhead at pullover (nobody was in actual lot).

Comments
Comments: Parked off road in pullover, wore snowshoes from start and for both summits and the backtrack but switched to crampons for the descent for East. The trail is packed-so spikes would be fine I'm sure. I prefer the shoes for the heel-lifts for the steeps, soft snow, and for whatever drifting between summits. I was the first on the trail this morning but saw about 8 on my exit coming in (wearing spikes/snowshoes). East has a few areas with ice exposed on steeps (from butt slides I'm sure) that made it a bit sketchy, which is why I chose the crampons for my descent. The chimney bypass was fine-the bypass of the bypass is a little messy-in the trees/branches and the rest of the trail is fine and in decent shape.
