Israel River, iced over with running water under thick ice; several small runoff streams all passable. |

Trail was mostly packed snow. Microspikes all day.
Castle Ravine trail was not broken out. The Link had not recently been hiked on. We didn't make it to the Cornice. (too tired; head cold and decided to turn around)
Someone had written on my back car window (through the grit and road salt) a message about global warming. I did not appreciate that. |
