If i remember right, two you have to step over then maybe 6 leaners. Unfortunately the tunnel at the end has 3 of those leaners 5 feet from the summit |

Well we knew it was going to be a rainy day so cancelled the twins trip and went for a shorter day. We picked hale and took our umbrellas. I asked a friend and she said hard pack all the way so we ditched the snowshoes. We actually barebooted all the way to the summit! There is still not a lot of snow out there. We got some sprinkles of rain on the road walk and the wqy up. The whole way down we swapped to spikes and no rain! We made it back to the road not seeing a sole. At the trailhead we saw a lot of people heading to the hut around 12:45. They didn’t know if hale was a 4k but hey that’s ok. We took our spikes off and barebooted the inch thick of snow road walk out! Out before 2 is always a fun day! :) |
