Not much to add to what others have already said. Airline below scar is icy. I put snowshoes on at Edmands Col to ascend/descend Jefferson as the conditions were perfect and added traction and the heel risers made is much easier. Conditions between Edmands Col and Thunderstorm Junction are a mix, from beautiful flat grippy snow/ice fields, to typical bony with trace snow and ice. Took a detour on the descent down off Valley Way to Lower Bruin and Brookside. Nice detour, but use caution as the trails are not packed. All in all a great day. Brie - very excellent time on the descent; I didn't make it to the parking lot until 3:30 p.m. |
