Comments
Comments: Super calm clear day, unheard of. So much gear got a free ride today. Didn’t even need gloves! I wore micro spikes the whole day. Though I could have used my trail crampons for a few sections, going up Crawford path to Washington there was a hard slab with some sidehilling (one dude fell and slid a good distance here), and coming down Gulfside had some icy sections ( one pretty close to a drop into the ravine). I would recommend better traction in these two spots, but did not take my own advise out of laziness. Met some nice folks also taking advantage of the amazing day, and hiked with them for a while. Great meeting all of you! Some freezing rain in forecast today (Friday) so trail will likely be icy.
