Grateful for the company of birch, spruce, mountain ash, and blue skies today. Trails are in super shape, really well packed out until after the summit of Eisenhower, where it gets a little less well-travelled and slightly icier. There are some deep drifts in the little col just after the descent (heading north) from Eisenhower, and the descent has some good blue ice, but Hillsounds did fine. I turned around at the little twin peak just to the southeast of Monroe. |
