Map of Ammonoosuc/Bronson Conservation area can be downloaded from their site. Please note that although the trails on the map are accurately shown, the names are not the same on the signs along the trail while some have no signs. Snow Machine was tagged with pink, Summit East was signed as the Blue Trail with blue tags and Summit South was also signed as the Blue Trail with blue tags. The map was a good idea but it helps to refer to Gaia to make sure you are on the correct trail. |

 | Comments: |
We continued down Dyke Road to a turnoff to the right with lots of footprints. We soon started seeing pink tags on the trees. We followed this trail until we came to an open field with a cabin below and a view of Franconia Ridge. Here we took a left, continuing to follow the pink tags. At a fork, we turned left onto the Blue Trail, tagged with blue, and continued to the height of land. Here we started bushwhacking towards the high point where we found a jar and signed in. We returned to the Blue Trail and continued down, at times VERY steeply, to the valley below. After climbing a slight rise we rejoined the pink tagged trail and headed back to our car. We barebooted the entire loop. |
