Good conditions on Ammo and Crawford Path. Packed snow on Ammo, microspikes and hillsounds had no issues gripping. Along the Crawford Path there were some icy sections but still it was easy going. Gulfside Trail was much more bony between Clay and Jefferson so the spikes go beat up a little but not too bad. Jewell had ok coverage above treeline for the most part and was well packed down below treeline.
Winds were almost non-existent for most of the hike today and the temps were mild, easy to stay warm and comfortable. Excellent day to spend the day above treeline. :) |
