Comments
Comments: A beautiful day with clear skies and lots of views from Jennings Peak and the summit of Sandwich. Winds cooled us down close to the summit and during our snack at the top. 1-2 inches of snow over some ice. More snow on Drakes than SMT. Microspikes were all that was needed. Thanks to those who broke out the trail before us. We lost the trail at the end of Drakes and made our own water crossing, so please don’t follow our footprints. Or do because the short bushwack and ice bridge crossing was really fun! As usual, really nice people on the trail, even though there were only three others we met along the way.
